| Kareen King, puppeteer, singer, song-writer, shares Emilou Goldenpuppet with WRC residents. Emilou is a puppet of Kareen King's who is based on a real-life resident. Kareen creates dramatic interactions, songs and stories to give a speaking platform to a woman who felt marginalized and displaced from her youth onward. Kareen hopes to raise awareness and demonstate that all residents, no matter what level of confusion or functionality, are valuable and have incalculable treasures within if we are willing to search those qualities out. |

National Nursing Home Make a Wish week (May 9-15, 2010)

| Our group went to Union Station and the KC Rail Experience. We took Dale Flynn in the Electric wheel chair, Evelyn Burkhart who was able to get up into the trains and had a blast, Jennie Boyer, Larry Hawley who had a blast, Ruby Croan, Gladys Clark who the WRC gang how to use the old switch board. | ||
